The high school was founded in 1959. We are honored to bear the name of Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov, one of the most prominent representatives of Bulgarian science. “Knowledge is power, science is might.” This is the motto we follow, fulfilling the legacy of our patron. Qualified teachers traditionally train specialists in some of the most relevant fields of economics – ecology, biotechnology, and chemical technologies. As a result of the excellent training, many of our graduates successfully manage scientific institutes, higher education institutions, banks, powerful industrial complexes, and companies.

Marianna Stamati holds a degree in Administration and Economic Sciences specializing in Business Administration (Marketing – Management) and a Master’s in Education and Technologies in Distance Learning Systems (Hellenic Open University). She has over 17 years of experience at the e-Comet Lab of the Hellenic Open University, managing coordination, organization, and administrative tasks. From 2011 to 2023, she headed the Department of Financial, Administrative, and Technical Services at e-Comet Lab. Marianna’s professional background includes extensive and continuous involvement in several European Programs (including Minerva, Socrates/Lingua, LLP – KA3, Erasmus+ KA2, Erasmus+ KA3, CS4HS Google, Interreg V-A, Horizon etc) and National Programs as well, in field of Project Management and Financial Issues, while supporting research teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

Mihail Arsov is a representative of the Bulgarian organization Vocational High School of Ecology and Biotechnology “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” within the AGRILEARN Erasmus+ project. He is a teacher of Geography, Economics, and Entrepreneurship, holding a higher education degree from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He has extensive experience in international educational initiatives and has participated in numerous other Erasmus+ projects. With his professional background, teaching experience, and commitment to innovative education, he actively contributes to the successful development and implementation of the project activities.

COEUS XI is an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) based in Cyprus, specialising in the development of advanced software systems, intelligent digital platforms, and immersive virtual environments. The company focuses on designing and implementing modern technological solutions that support digital transformation in education, research, and industry.
With a multidisciplinary engineering team, COEUS XI develops web and mobile applications, cloud-based information systems, and interactive 3D virtual worlds, while also creating digital educational content, e-learning platforms, and gamified learning environments. The company collaborates closely with universities, research institutions, and international partners to transform research outcomes into practical technological solutions.
COEUS XI actively participates in European research and innovation initiatives, including Erasmus+ cooperation projects, contributing expertise in software engineering, virtual reality, and digital learning technologies. Through these activities, the organisation supports the development of scalable, user-centred digital solutions that enhance education, training, and knowledge transfer across Europe.

INNOVA LAB Bitola is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2017 in Bitola, North Macedonia. The organisation focuses on empowering young people, educators, and local communities through non-formal education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Its activities primarily target young people aged 15–29, supporting them in developing entrepreneurial, digital, and green skills, improving employability, and encouraging active participation in society.
INNOVA LAB has significant experience in Erasmus+ and other international projects, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship education, circular economy, sustainability, digital innovation, and youth participation. The organisation develops training programmes, curricula, handbooks, and learning modules for youth, educators, and VET institutions, while promoting social inclusion and opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities. It cooperates closely with universities, VET schools, municipalities, and European partners, contributing to research, capacity building, and the dissemination of project results.

Elizabeta Tosheva, PhD is a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Law, University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola, North Macedonia, with more than 25 years of academic, research, and project management experience in Economics, Circular Economy, Finance, Economic Development, and Entrepreneurship. She is the author of over 80 scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings, as well as several books, monographs, textbooks, and educational materials.
She is the Founder and President of Innova Lab Bitola and has extensive experience in national and international projects as a Project Coordinator, Expert, Mentor, Trainer, and Researcher, contributing to the development of policy briefs, analyses, reports, guides, and educational resources.

Katerina Bojkovska, PhD is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences, University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola, North Macedonia, specializing in agri-economy and sustainable rural development. She has more than 22 years of experience in teaching and research in agricultural economics, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, and rural development. She is the author of over 100 scientific publications in international journals. Prof. Bojkovska is also Co-Founder and Project Manager of INNOVA Lab Bitola and actively participates in national and international projects, particularly within the Erasmus+ programme, focusing on innovation, sustainable agriculture, and digital and green transitions in rural areas.

Mr. Georgios Theodoropoulos graduated from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Patras (1995). Since 1998, he has been working as a Mathematician at the Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras. In 2011-2012, he participated, contributing exercises, in the project “Study for Exams”, of the Ministry of Education. He has also participated in several European Erasmus+ KA2 programs.

Katarzyna Święcicka is an experienced English teacher and Head of Studies based in Warsaw. During her teaching career, she has taught both teenagers and adults. She holds an MA degree in English Philology from the University of Warsaw. She currently works as an English teacher at LOFS and as an English instructor at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USWPS). She has always been interested in innovative approaches to teaching, including interdisciplinary one. In her free time, she loves skiing, travelling, spending time with her family and friends and her two pets.

Katarzyna Łastawiecka is an experienced English teacher based in Warsaw, Poland. A graduate of Warsaw University and SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, she serves as the Erasmus+ project coordinator at LOFS. She is a dedicated advocate for integrating new technologies and gamification into formal education. For many years, she has managed international projects to enhance traditional teaching methods. Privately, she enjoys travelling, gardening, and her cat.

Liceum Ogólnokształcące Fundacji Szkolnej (LOFS) is a forward-thinking secondary school in Poland, offering both stationary and distance learning models. The institution distinguishes itself through two primary academic tracks: the Formal Science Profile (STEM-focused) and the Natural Science Profile (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
LOFS is notably one of the few Google Reference Schools in Poland, showcasing a deep commitment to digital transformation and the integration of Google Workspace for Education into its curriculum. The school employs innovative methodologies such as the STEAM approach and the 4MAT learning model to cater to various cognitive styles.

The Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras is a private secondary school located in Patras, Greece. It belongs to the Society for the Promotion of Education and Learning (Filekpaideftiki Etairia), a non-profit and the oldest educational organization in the country (founded in 1836). The Society operates a network of Arsakeia Schools in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patras, and Tirana (Albania), ensuring high educational standards and a shared pedagogical vision. As part of this historic network, the Lyceum of Patras combines a strong academic tradition with a modern, student-centered approach to learning. Panagiotis Vrettis is a seasoned game developer with extensive experience in Unity and Unreal game engines, advanced skills in C/C++, C#, and Python, and a broad background in game design. Graduated with a Master of Science on Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras in 2022. Worked as a Designer and Developer of Serious Games on multiple Erasmus+ projects at the University of Patras since 2022. Worked as a student assistant at Utrecht University.

Dimosthenis Minas is an experienced Software Engineer and researcher in EU and National Research & Innovation projects, specializing in software development, mid-level project management, piloting coordination, and human-computer interaction technology, with a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department of the University of Patras. He has contributed to multiple EU-funded initiatives, including POSITIVE, and RAISE, all of which involve the development of virtual worlds. Within this project, Dimosthenis Minas will mainly contribute to the development of the virtual world and the technical guidance on any aspect of the AGRILEARN project.

Ioannis Panaretou received his bachelor’s degree from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) of the University of Patras in 1998. He holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Science, since 2001. In 200 he co-established OptionsNet, an Inofrmation Technology & Software Engineering company in which he was appointed as CEO for many years. As a Computer Engineer, his areas of expertise include Decision Support Systems, Web and 3D Technologies, and cloud-based ICT Systems.

Emmanouil Petrakis acts as the incumbent Headmaster of the Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras, Greece. He has a PhD in Physics awarded from the University of Patras, which allowed him in the past to teach for several years at the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Departments of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras. He has been part of many different research projects, as well as worked on a plethora of academic publications on Fluid Mechanics, Renewable Energy Sources and general Physics. As part of his work at the Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras, he has been the coordinator of multiple successfully completed and currently ongoing Erasmus+ Programs.

Chris Zotos is an ICT Teacher at the Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras, Greece. Having graduated from the Computer Engineering Department of the University of Patras (MSc), he focuses on finding new ways of imparting the ever-evolving knowledge that surrounds Technology and Informatics. He is a certified educator specializing both in younger audiences, as well as adult training. His academic background includes published research and proposals revolving around the Design of Novel Educational Platforms, Self-Regulated Learning and Distance Learning Programs. Last but not least, he has active experience in coordinating Erasmus+ Educational Projects.

Nikolia Iliopoulou is an excellent graduate of the Department of Biology of the University of Patras (2011) Greece. In 2013 she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in “Ecology, Management & Protection of the Natural Environment”. During her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she presented numerous papers at scientific conferences. Since 2016, she has been working as a Biologist at the Arsakeia Schools of Patras. She has participated in numerous European Erasmus programs and student competitions.
